Biography

I completed my Bachelor's of Music in Theory and Composition at Webster University in St. Louis Missouri, and my Master's in Music History and Literature at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I studied with Bob Chamberlin and various other composers at Webster University. I later worked as a graduate assistant for the on-staff musicologist Melissa Mackey, writing program notes for the SIU Symphony.

I completed my thesis on the topic of “Trends in the Music of Dying Composers” in 2004 and presented it at the 2005 Conference on Arts and Humanities. I have been teaching piano since 2001 and am dedicated to the musical education of children. I have utilized many of my compositions in my piano teaching, and enjoy composing music for a variety of uses in a wide mix of styles.
