White Coral Bells

White Coral Bells is a pretty round that many will remember from school days. Get it here as:

  • a round, or
  • a piano solo, or
  • a lead sheet!

No part numbers

Forgive me - I didn't put "1" and "2" in the left margin of the lead sheet to help students know when to add the next part!

The song White Coral Bells is an unusual round, having only two parts:

  • Lines 1 & 2 = Part 1
  • Lines 3 & 4 = Part 2

Therefore, when the first singer finishes singing "stalk...," then it is time for the next singer or group to begin at the beginning.

Enchanting lyrics

The lyrics to White Coral Bells create lovely garden images in one's imagination - they certainly did for me, when I was a little girl!  I loved the thought of being able to hear "the fairies sing."

A lead sheet with lettered notes

I made that lettered-notes version for a little girl who was in a big hurry to learn this song, and wanted to sing it too!

Excellent fingering - if a student will look!

The fingering should work well for any child, as long as you take them through the music and have them notice the two spots where something "unusual" happens - the stretch in measure 2, and the required lift-and-reset at the beginning of line 3.  In my studio, those would be likely places to get a colorful pen and draw loops around the spots.

A Middle C arrangement for beginners

Easy piano White Coral Bells

This "Middle C" arrangement is actually set with thumbs at bass clef "Middle D," and treble clef "Middle E."  Every note is needed, requiring all ten fingers!
