How can I learn how to play a guitar by June?

Dana:

Here are my suggestions, Brittany:

1. Buy a guitar (a decent one). If you buy one with steel strings, be prepared for fingertip pain initially, but grit your teeth and stick with it; soon you will have callouses.

2. Find a teacher who will meet with you regularly, at least once a week. If you are already a capable musician on another instrument, then you MAY be able to teach yourself with a book plus the help of videos, but a good teacher is the best route.

3. Practice EVERY DAY. By June you will be able to play A LOT on the guitar.

Good luck!
