The best duet Christmas songs are those ones you knew & loved as a child! "Carol of the Bells..." "Silent Night..." "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas..."
Here's the whole roster:
With a couple of less well-known carols, this set of fourteen "a capella" songs arranged for two voices is just right for a snowy night of caroling, or singing by the fire. Because they do not require piano or guitar backup, being a capella (without accompaniment), singers can move the starting pitches up or down to suit themselves.
Therefore, the first one is "Angels We Have Heard On High." As a girl (and even later), I loved singing the "Glo - o - o - o - ria" part! This arrangement may be a bit different than what you've heard before, but the harmonies are traditional.
"Ukrainian Bell Carol" is the real title of this famous song. I have used the lyrics "Ring, Christmas Bells" for my arrangement, because those lyrics are no longer under copyright - but not just for that reason: the lyrics are beautiful and inspiring! Those are the words sung by the Ray Conniff Singers on their iconic Christmas album years ago.
This magical piece sounds most fabulous, perhaps, with a 4-part choir, but I wanted to make an arrangement that just two people, or two groups, could sing.

You have guessed it: Unlike the vast majority of the music on my site, this set of Christmas duet songs is FOR SALE.
$14.00 for the set, along with permission to print as many copies as you need!
Gabriel's Message is a minor melody telling the story of the Angel Gabriel arriving to tell Mary that she has been chosen to be the mother of the Messiah. It is perhaps the trickiest of the songs in this set, both the melody and the harmony, but it is worth the effort!
I already have a vocal duet arrangement for this song, but I believe the new arrangement is an improvement, being a bit simpler.
This energetic but beautiful carol seems to show up frequently in movies set in Dickensian England, at Christmas.
A bouncy little carol with pretty harmonies and somewhat mysterious words, "Holly and Ivy" is great fun to sing!
I love this song. Hearing The Ray Conniff Singers burst out with this carol every year on my mom's LP record was when I knew that the Christmas season had really started!
"Joy to the World" is a joyous song, familiar to most of us!
This arrangement is a bit simplified over another one on my website. You may notice that I cut out one measure of held notes in the second line - that's because it is a tricky spot where only the triplet feel of an accompaniment keeps singers from jumping back in too early. Without an accompaniment to keep them on track, this wait of only 12 beats (instead of 18) is preferable, I think.

"Silent Night" is very easy to harmonize, as the voices mostly move in parallel motion. A satisfying duet.
This duet Christmas music is another old-fashioned carol that shows up in period movies. It has numerous verses, some with very silly and archaic words... I have included five verses in my arrangement.
This great Christmas duet has mysterious-sounding harmonies to go with its captivating lyrics, forming word pictures in the mind.
You HAVE to sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" at some point during the Christmas holiday!
The beautiful Greensleeves melody, with old-fashioned and elegant story-telling lyrics.
Don't forget - I give you permission to make all the copies you need, when you buy this set of duet Christmas songs! $14.00 for the set.

This is the perfect easy start for little pianists.
And when they start reading white-key notes on the staff, this is a fun easy resource to say each week, "Choose a new black-key song at home this week and figure it out to show me next lesson!" They will be spending more time at the piano.
A perfect read aloud storybook

Like some of you, I've been playing the piano since early childhood, and have added a few other instruments along the way, plus an interest in arranging and composing music.
