Mumbling Mice

by Ariana
(Houston, TX, US)

Many Mumbling Mice
Are making midnight music in thee moonlight
Mighty nice

...Ooo! This "tongue-twister" is really all about the lips, not the tongue! Thanks, Ariana!

And that reminds me..."The lips, the teeth, the tip-of-the-tongue. The lips, the teeth, the tip-of-the-tongue. The lips..."

Many Mumbling Mice Solfege
by: Anonymous

Solfege for Many Mumbling Mice, (the way I learned):

do do me do do

sol sol sol sol sol sol sol sol sol sol

sol me do.

Each Solfege syllable relates to a sylable of the poem.

Dana:

Interesting. If you turn line 2 into a mostly-eighth-note rhythm, it works well and is also rather tiring to the lips! Thanks -- it's fun!

The song goes like this :
Many mumbling mice
Making merry music in the moonlight
mighty nice

Dana:

Yes, but what is the tune?
