I Dreamt I Dwelt in Marble Halls

by Brenda
(UK)

I heard this song one morning in the 1980's on the Terry Wogan Show, BBC Radio 2 I think, and there were THREE verses sung. The last verse referred to the singer falling from grace in some way, 'But you loved me still the same'. I thought this verse somehow completed the song and the story, it made me cry. I have tried everything I can think of ever since to find the words for this third verse but had no success. If anyone can tell me they will earn my undying gratitude.

Dana:
Hello, Brenda; I do not think that the 3rd verse can be original to the opera (The Bohemian Girl). That must be why you are having such difficulty finding it. Perhaps that show is recorded somewhere!
